Devlog #1 - Core Mechanics


So the basic mechanics of the game are as follows:

  • Collecting loot (coins, samples, perhaps others) inside of giant monsters (Kaiju)
  • Platforming - Dodging environmental hazards like acid, or electricity as well as various enemies
  • Timed Levels - Everything is timed, so you are racing to collect everything before it runs out.

The thought behind the timing thing is that the city wants to dispose of the body soon, so you need to get in and get out before they dump it back into the ocean. (Wouldn't want to drown inside of the body, eh?)
